"I do not believe that the accident of birth makes people sisters and brothers.
It makes them siblings. Gives them mutuality of parentage. Sisterhood and brotherhood are conditions people have to work at. It's a serious matter.
You compromise, you give, you take, you stand firm, and you're
relentless...And it
is an investment." (Maya A.)

Thank you PushtheButtonAlpha!

Love this SISTERHOOD award I just received... from Alpha Button Pusher over at PushtheButtonAlpha. I had admired the award on other blogs and I thought the concept was great. Thank you much Alpha. It is appreciated!

I am now able nominate other fabulous women bloggers for the award. This was TOUGH. Every blog I follow I see as having connective qualities. I would have loved to have given many more of this award! I contained myself but barely!

I nominate these blogs, which have given me laughter, learning, and their perspectives on the world. Please take a moment to check these folks out. I believe you will be glad that you did. The richness of the writing they share with the blog universe is apparent.

1)Cat at Witnessing a World of People and Places

2)Cheri at Butterfly Dreamer

3)Cynthia at Oasis Writing Link (OWL)

4)K Lawson at Old Mossy Moon

5)Natalie at Musings From the Deep

6)Self-Proclaimed Mistress of Nothing at Ramblings Of An Imperfect Being

Here's how it works:

1. Put the logo on your blog or post.

2. Nominate at least 5 blogs which show great ATTITUDE and/or GRATITUDE.

3. Be sure to link to your nominees within your post.

4. Let them know that they have received this award by commenting on their blog.

5. Share the love and link this post to the person from whom you received your award.

Now DO go read these wonderful blogs which have heart and soul!

Congrats Linda!! Love what you said about siblings! I have a bunch and most of us don't work at keeping it loving and lasting. It's sad. Blessings to you! Lisa

I'm sorry I remember reading something, I had some illness in my family a couple days things got pushed aside for later, I am sorry. Did you say a mermaid and I think I responded, the only thing I have close to that would be a water dragon does that sound right. Mail me back at, if that's incorrect I'd be happy to make you one!

Congrats - I also agree with your comments on sisterhood - all relationships really. Something you work at, breath life into and nurture - keep it vibrant and growing - never static - or it will decompose.

You'd stopped by my blog previous, so I decided to return the favor
;p. I don't have bio brothers or sisters, and I don't have friends I can truly think of that fit into that rule, much as I'd like it to be so in the ideal world.
But I am pretty relentless....

Congrats on the cool award. I just noticed that you live in Nashville. My daughter is in Chattanooga. I'd never been to TN until they moved there about 3 years ago. Beautiful state with beautiful people! ;-)
