That's a great song, Steve, but Fields of Gold by sting is one of my all time favourites. It makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck.

This is beautiful! Thanks for posting this Linda. I agree, everyone is entitled to life and peace. I also believe that everyone on the planet is entitled to education and freedom. Respect is a basic human right in my opinion - everyone of us has something to contribute. It is up to all of us to recognize and acknowledge those contributions no matter how big or small.
Loved this! Happy Easter to you.

I am having a hard time getting email addresses from my blogs. When I left AOL, I lost the editing pencil which has been a big pain. I want to go private with The Mad Platter because I don't want men coming into that blog. If you want to be included when I go private, please send me your email addy. Thanks!

A fabulous post, Ms. Linda! Yes, it's ME and I'm back. I had to set up an entirely new blog due to the problems I had with my other one with folks not being able to access it or comment! Good thing I don't own a gun or I would have shot the computer, it was so frustrating. LOL! Hugs for the middle of Louisiana. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Easter!

What a great idea. I don't understand why we can't just live & let live. Let's all just chill & do our own thing & let others do theirs.

Happy Easter to you too :) Are you doing anything special this weekend?

It baffles my mind that we don't all play nicer. It would just be so much easier, wouldn't it be? Oh, no, not for the selfish I suppose.

Lovely sentiments for Easter or any time, Linda.

In English--Translation from
Mathilde comment

I under the total charm, am completely flabbergasted, the beautiful voices of black always make me hallucinate and return nutcase to me! But, it is obvious that whatever the color d' a man, if his heart is beautiful, or even s' he wants to drive out all the bad spirits of his being, then, l' art will be able to save it and it does not matter its practice, dances, song, painting… but its powerful vibrations are made not only to save it, but, to save blow all l' whole humanity of its worst demons to be started with l' envy to kill another man. So only we could install choral societies, painters, dancers, in the neighbourhoods of the worst places or hatred circulates, I would not be astonished to see it s' to reduce. There exists d' elsewhere a French proverb which says " the music softens the moeurs" and I suppose that you must have l' equivalent in English. So unfortunately the budget of l' armament is more consequent, and this, for all the nations that the budget of the culture, that does not prevent us from diffusing by all the means with title d' amateurs our more beautiful inspirations through, poetry, photography, music, l' writing, for at least trying d' to alleviate the already existing sufferings and especially… to continue to emphasize all the large alive artists, or who left us. L' art finally n' is neither more nor less qu' a form of spirituality. I congratulate you for all your implications to be wanted to make so that the world becomes better. I kiss you.

I love your noble thoughts and action. Count me in so that I can play my part as well. We are the world and if we don't promote peace and harmony, who else will do that?

Chrisy said...

Yes music is an international language...and any movement that raises awareness of the connectedness of all is worth supporting...and I wish that everybody realised that we are all singers, just as we are all artists...so often negative (ignorant) comments early in life can cause us to think that this isn't the case....

I loved the song and the whole concept of it. I believe united with sharing and giving we can make the world a lot better place... and so the concept of live and let live will make sense to everyone on this planet :)

I am terribly late. Way past the point of "fashionable" so I will say... HAPPY SPRING!!

Many of the comments mentioned songs. There is a song that has always touched me... It's A Small World. Perhaps it's because of my first trip to Disneyland when I was young. The representations of cultures from all over the world captured in a single place (ride) is something I will never forget. Also, it sometimes makes me cry.

Wishing you love, JOY, and new beginnings! ~♥~
