Linda, nice of you to visit...and I have been to Judith's blog, and will go again. We even had an Email exchange.

When I lost all my "followers" I lost lots of addresses (URLs) and really have no way to get tham back. Linda you were one of those, but you're back--Bach!

I'm glad!

Hi Linda
I do love the Intermezzo - but I can't hear it this time. My sound card has died and am awaiting my favourite technician ....

Linda - Thank you for your very kind words. They're much appreciated. I have been a trained opera singer since the age of 10, but I'm a great lover of all kinds of music. And, as you know, my blog is very much like my love of music, diverse and eclectic. Dolly Parton is an all-time favorite.

Again, thanks, Linda. Your big heart is evident in all you do. You're a beautiful lady.

BTW - I have met Muti and have spent a total of two years in Italy with other great conductors. There is a piece on my blog by another great Italian conductor, who was greatly admired by Muti, the incomparable, Arturo Toscanni. This too is a must hear! :-)

Oh, and my impression of the music--pure passion and relevance, the stuff made of soul: substantive and ethereal, present and everlasting, you and me.

This is beautiful, and a wonderful way to start my day. Later today, in the busy-ness of living, I'll recall this and breathe a sigh.

It sounds very expectant to me. A deep shine of optimism after a dark, painful time.

Linda! Such soul-stirring music! Since most music we hear of this caliber is in movies (background), it brought to my mind a tender love scene or some other touching scene. Thanks for posting! I visited and loved Judith's amazing blog! Blessings from Louisiana!

What I appreciated most was just how entranced the conductor was. I really believed him. I loved him in his giving and vulnerability. The music, a treat. I'll go back and listen again, I'm sure.

Linda - OMG i just love this type of music. For some reason while listening to it, i pictured a woman by the ocean with her long bustle skirt blowing in the breeze.

Rustic Chivalryit is all about love.... Italian love..... Turiddu, a young villager, had returned from military service to find that while he was gone, his fiancée, Lola, had married Alfio, the prosperous village teamster. In revenge, Turiddu seduced Santuzza, a young girl in the village. As the opera begins, Lola, overcome by her jealousy of Santuzza, has begun an adulterous affair with Turiddu.

Offstage, Turiddu is heard singing The Siciliana - "O Lola, lovely as the spring’s bright blooms". The curtain rises on the main square of the village. To one side is the church, to the other, Lucia's wine shop and the house where she lives with her son, Turiddu. The villagers move about the square, singing of the beautiful spring day (Gli aranci olezzano sui verdi margini - "The air is sweet with orange blossoms") and a hymn to the Blessed Virgin. Some villagers enter the church, others wander off still singing.

Thanks for visiting Linda. I am always searching for new and pretty pictures to post.

I think everyday is a struggle to eat right, take medicine and excercise. Sometimes it is depressing because you feel there is nothing I can eat..but we struggle on, don't we?

Just learned about greek yogurt. I might trying having that some mornings with fruit. The nutrionist said I could have yogurt but not the kind with added sugar. She said to read the ingredients not the grams of sugar on the label of foods. Opened up a few things I was avoiding.

Have a great weekend. Sun is shining today and I'm going to get my jalapeno seeds started. Rain for tomorrow. That will be a good day to stay in and do the things needed around the house.

Peace, Linda
