Self Reinvention Year 15
Rumi - Guest House
This being human is a guest house
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they are a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out for
some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame,
the malice, meet them at the door
laughing,and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.
Dreams
by: Langston Hughes
Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.
Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.

What a fantastic blog? I remember the twist and many around that era,
but the back has got a wee bit stiff these days but still enjoy the music.
Yvonne.

Haha.. you know my thoughts about this one!! I have seen this video and I love it! It would be awesome to dance for a job! Thanks for posting!! =)
I recall all of these dances, although my mother was the one dancing to Elvis 45's and my older cousin taught me and my sisters the twist. A fun, nostalgic post, Linda!
Linda-I dream of dancing well, but honest if insensitive partners have informed me otherwise. So I just watch and appreciate others grace. ~rick
That was wonderful....! Omigosh, you have put a smile on my face.
That is fantastic! I laughed, I cried...the tears were mainly due to the fact that I have danced many of those crazy ones! Great post Linda!

This is hilarious!
I laughed again and again.
That is wonderful Linda!
thank you for sharing.
Love this video. The strange thing is although I don't have a tendency to learn the newest dance step, I've actually witnessed most of those dances. It was hilarious then, as it is now watching this.
All I can say is the guy has to be limber as all get out to keep that up for 6 minutes. (Hugs)Indigo
Linda - I remember watching this on 'You Tube' last year and thought is was great - Thanks for reminding me about it...I had a good laugh watching it again.

Fun, fun -- and funny! This guy just keeps going and going, and I wanna dance every one of those with him!
Since I was little, it's always been dance for me..every tune, every concert, all music just has to be choreographed in my head..can't help it, but I'm happy!! Shall we.....

LOL !
Merci pour ces 6 minutes de bonheur !
Je vous embrasse.
Mathilde.
Ha! Love it!
I never get tired of watching this ! Oh and congrats on your blog awards, you are a very inspirational and kind blogger and friend.
XOXO
Cherie
There MUST be dancing in heaven. It is the outward sign of JOY! And adoration, and happiness.
Linda, thank you SO much for your comments on my blog. You have a real knack for making people feel good about themselves. And it worked on me, too! It is a valuable gift you possess, and use!
Mathilde's comment translated..
That made a long time that I n' stays not come on your blog, not by d' lack; interest, but only, by lack of time, I am very compressed in this moment. Also, c' is with joy and amazement which I discover this video! This boy is fantastic, which flexibility, which direction d' adaptation and which direction of l' humour! Can it also dance the Argentinian tango and flamenco? But, that m' would not astonish! Do you know it? Is it unmarried? Because you see, as much as possible, I wish my husband-to-be very good dancer! LOL! Thank you for these 6 minutes for happiness! I kiss you. Mathilde.
I absolutely love to dance. As a young girl, I wanted to be a dancer, but I was and am such a klutz! No coordination. I now settle for tapping my toe to the music. Well, unless no one is watching!
I've left you a couple of awards, pop by and collect if you have time. BJ
That's hilarious, Linda!!
you must be quite a dancer yourself,huh.. i noticed several of your posts related to dancing and music..
thanks for the laugh.. he's really good!
Hery Linda, thanks so much for sharing this, it's made myday :) Does watching it constitute my daily exercising, I'm exhausted :)
What a great trip through time!! Love it!!
-Alex
